User Perspective is a specialist human factors consultancy for many industries including transport and security. We help our clients understand the subtle combination of what humans can do versus what they will do. We work on an international basis in many differing sectors and support new skills and ventures that complement our work.
User Perspective ltd was established in 2005 and the team was formerly part of the School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences at the University of Sussex (1999-2005) where Dr. Martin Langham established the Human Factors group. After the school closed (2005) we moved into the Innovations Centre.
We maintain our company’s reputation with clients for high quality scientific work and sound advice combined with a commercial understanding of the issues often faced in the real world.
Since 2005 our company has worked on some of the most high profile forensic cases (Operation Paget) and provided solutions to some of the world’s largest companies. We have an enviable reputation for quality and reliability which means we are the first choice for many government departments and overseas authorities.
We are still a small company and regard ourselves as having a learning culture where our people engage with our clients to provide robust and reliable solutions.
The team consists of human factors specialists, forensic scientists, crash investigators, marketing specialists, security advisors, and occupational psychologists. Our wider sub-contractor network extends to weather specialists, forensic engineers, designers and safety advisors.
The security nature of our work means we are often unable to disclose all the projects we work on or who we work with, but most work is from repeat business which we think indicates we are good at what we do.
We pride ourselves in the way we communicate with our client and use innovative ways to transfer our knowledge and findings into the organisation with minimum effort and deliver in a format that best suits the client.
We welcome new clients and those referred to us by our existing clients, regulators, or through one of the major UK consultancies. Our clients often work on attachment with us as part of the team.
